Boy & Bird is a collaboration about Food + Design + Place
We are involved in restaurants, events and creative projects.

It’s a place that is open to testing ideas, and supports collaborations, creativity and neighbourhood ideas.

It is not afraid to do things a bit differently, and even be a bit nerdy.

The Boy
Ben Devlin.   Ben has worked as a chef locally and overseas in Byron Bay, Brisbane and Copenhagen. He spent 2 years at Noma before returning to Australia to lead award-winning kitchens at Esquire (Brisbane) and Paper Daisy/ Halcyon House (Cabarita).  He was the QLD Good Food Guide’s Young Chef of the Year in 2014 and has been named one of Australia’s chefs to watch by Restaurant Australia, Delicious Magazine, and Gourmet Traveler.

The Bird 
Yen Trinh.
Yen is a designer, who is passionate about creativity and collaborative design.   She has worked in Brisbane, Gold Coast, New York, Toronto.  She runs community events such as the UR{BNE} Film Festival showcasing architecture films and was the 2011 QLD Premier’s Emerging Design Leader Award recipient.   Yen seeks to connect food to creative community building, design thinking and graphic design.
